Filipino Style Fruit Salad

Ingredients:

2 large cans (29 oz) fruit cocktail
1 can (20 oz) pineapple tidbits
1 can (60 oz) all-purpose cream (whipping cream)
14 oz condensed milk
1 jar (12 oz) nata de coco (coconut jelly)
2 pcs apples, cubes with skin on (optional)
1 cup young coconut, shredded (optional)

Preparing Directions:

  1. Drain the juice from the fruit cocktail and pineapple tidbits. Let it strain for a good 15 minutes or until the liquid is totally drained. Do this to avoid the salad from getting soggy.
  2. Transfer drained fruits in a large mixing bowl. Add the nata de coco, apples and shredded young coconut. Mix lightly to avoid crushing the fruits.
  3. Add condensed milk (to taste) and then add your preferred amount of cream. Mix well to evenly distribute the milk and cream.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for a couple hours before serving.
